Jeep Recon 2026: The highly anticipated Jeep Recon has officially been revealed, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most capable electric off-road SUVs arriving in 2026. Jeep says the Recon isn’t designed to be a typical family EV—it’s built for drivers who want genuine off-road performance with zero-emission power.
Production begins in early 2026 at the brand’s Toluca, Mexico plant, with the first deliveries scheduled for customers in the U.S. and Canada. A global rollout will follow later in the year. In the U.S., the Jeep Recon will start at $65,000.
Jeep is launching the Recon with the flagship Moab trim, featuring a dual-motor setup that delivers an impressive 650 horsepower, 620 lb-ft of torque, and an estimated 400 km (250 miles) of driving range. A second trim with a longer 450 km (280-mile) estimated range will follow.
The Recon sits on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, using a 100-kWh NMC battery and 400-volt architecture. Although official charging times have not been released, performance is expected to mirror the Wagoneer S platform, which supports up to 203 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 20–80% charge in about 23 minutes.
Off-road capability is the heart of the Jeep Recon. The Moab trim boasts a 33.8-degree approach, 33.1-degree departure, and 23.3-degree breakover angle, alongside 231 mm of ground clearance on 33-inch all-terrain tires. Its electric drive modules include an electronic locking rear differential and Jeep’s full Selec-Terrain system with modes for Rock, Sand, Snow, Sport, and Auto.
The Recon also features Selec-Speed Control, hill-hold assist, and extensive underbody protection, making it one of the most trail-focused electric SUVs available under $70,000.
Inside, the SUV blends rugged design with modern tech. A 14.5-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital cluster, and the latest Uconnect 5 system come standard. Jeep’s new Trails Offroad app provides integrated maps for U.S. and Canadian routes. The interior includes modular door panels, a two-tier console, and up to 1,866 liters of cargo space.
In true Jeep fashion, the Recon keeps the adventure spirit alive: the doors, quarter glass, and swing-gate glass can all be removed without tools, and the dual-pane roof can be upgraded to a one-touch power top.
With powerful performance, serious off-road numbers, and a competitive price point, the Jeep Recon marks a major step in Jeep’s electric comeback. The brand says electrification enhances its off-road DNA—and the Recon is built to prove it.
