Tata Motors has officially confirmed the launch date of the highly awaited Tata Sierra SUV. The company released its first official teaser, revealing that the Sierra will debut in India on November 25, 2025. This new model will sit between the Tata Curvv and Harrier in the company’s SUV lineup and will be available in petrol, diesel, and electric powertrain options.
Modern Design with Classic Sierra Touch
The new Tata Sierra retains the iconic design elements of the original Sierra but with a modern twist. The SUV features a wraparound rear glass design, split LED headlamps, sleek LED light bar, and muscular wheel arches, giving it a futuristic yet rugged appeal.
Tata Sierra Engine and Power
The ICE version of the Tata Sierra is expected to get a 1.5-litre turbocharged GDI petrol engine delivering around 170 PS power and 280 Nm torque. The diesel variant might feature the 2.0-litre Stellantis engine or the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Tata Curvv, tuned for efficiency.
Tata Sierra Electric Range and Tech
The Tata Sierra EV will be based on the same architecture as the Harrier EV, featuring two battery pack options. The larger pack is expected to offer over 500 km of driving range on a single charge. It will also support fast charging and bi-directional charging, allowing users to power external devices directly from the car’s battery.
Luxurious and Connected Interior
Inside, the Sierra will feature a triple-screen dashboard setup — one for the driver, one for infotainment, and one for the front passenger. Premium features may include a panoramic sunroof, Harman sound system, dual-tone interior, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging.
Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance
In terms of safety, the upcoming Sierra will include Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and electronic parking brake. Tata is also expected to include multiple drive and terrain modes to enhance performance on all road conditions.
Tata Sierra Price in India
While Tata Motors hasn’t revealed the exact pricing, the expected Tata Sierra price in India could range between ₹15 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and powertrain.
Rivals in the Segment
The ICE-powered Sierra will rival Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate, while the Sierra EV will take on the Hyundai Creta EV and Mahindra XEV 9e.
